We're so excited about the new Mr. & Mrs. Shore. I (Joryli) met Alysha and Aaron a couple years ago through Raelene. I've had the opportunity to slowly get to know them and watch them as a couple. I've always known them to be an easy-going couple who loves to hang, and just get to know you.
I've absolutely loved being a part and doing the day-of coordination for Alysha and Aaron's wedding. It's always an amazing process to watch ideas transform and build, and to finally see it come alive is even better!
Here are a few shots taken by M&HIM to help show you some of the creative side of the Shore wedding.
Raelene and I helped with the development and practical application of Alysha's vision for her wedding. She wanted something that had a rustic, soft, romantic feel, but really wanted to keep things simple. Alysha's a student with a full-time job, and it would just be impractical to attempt to do it all. She's also by nature very simple and easy-going, so she wanted to keep it very minimal. Taking the ideas she already had, we met a month prior to her wedding and helped orchestrate a plan to execute it while streamlining some ideas! While keeping it simple, we wanted to make sure we were being intentional about the details we were adding, and wanted it to reflect who Alysha and Aaron were as people and as a couple.
We kept everything minimal and neutral, while adding a touch of greenery for some color. The Kissing Game was found on pinterest! It was such a fun way for the guests to get involved right when the day started.
Some of the tables had a touch of burlap to help tie in the rustic theme, and to tie in the burlap bands on the chairs. The centerpiece was filled with your classic mason jar, babies breath with candles through out the table.
Alysha and Aaron are BIG readers, and we really wanted to be intentional about some of the details we were adding. We wanted to add personal details to help add some personality into their wedding. By adding some of the books throughout some of the tables, it helped add levels as well as helped add to the rustic, classic feel we were going for.
Alysha's grandmother had made this cake! It was really important for Alysha to have her grandmother be a part somehow, and making this cake was her piece to contribute! Earlier that day, the bride and the bridesmaids also got ready at her grandmother's home where Alysha has many memories from.
The golf course had a beautiful patio outside that we really wanted to use! So we created a games area for those who wanted an area to hang out, or a place that people were able to take a break from dancing. It was a huge hit at the wedding! Especially for those not as eager to dance. It gave them a great opportunity to hang out, play and get to know others that were around them.
It was such a fun experience getting to work alongside the amazing couple for their big day.
Congratulations Alysha and Aaron, we're so excited for you and are praying for an amazing marriage for you two!
